View source for Microsoft/Visual SourceSafe

Microsoft Visual SourceSafe is widely considered to be severely broken <ref>http://www.highprogrammer.com/alan/windev/sourcesafe.html</ref> <ref>http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/000660.html</ref>, but unfortunately I have to use it at work.

One of the most annoying problems is that [http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1231355&SiteID=1 VSS 2005 often crashes when doing Show Differences] and [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925275 the official explanation] makes me think that there's something seriously broken within this piece of software.
